My Baseball Themed Wedding

Posting that picture of our centerpieces from the baby shower post made me miss my wedding.  So I decided to share my baseball details.  I know what it's like to scour the internet for wedding ideas, so maybe I can help a few baseball crazed brides with finding some inspiration!

Yes...I said baseball.  Look, I'm a huge Cubs fan and Bubs is a huge Red Sox fan.

Weddings can be so stuffy and the pressure to make it live up to everyone's standards can be overwhelming.  Why not have fun with it and showcase some of your personalities too?  Here's how we did it.

First off...Engagement Shoot!  We actually had 2, one at Little Cubs Field, and one at Wrigley Field.  Both sessions were done by Studio One Sixty.  Who also did our Wedding Photography!

Next, were the Save the Dates.  I wanted a baseball card style.  These were made by my uber talented cousin Janice from Sealed with a J.  Check out her site for any of your design needs!

On the back were our "stats."  Opening day was the date of our first date.  Playoffs was the date we got engaged.  And of course, the World Series was our wedding date!

Wedding Shower invites were next!  These were also done by Sealed with a J.  I wanted some sort of ticket for these and here's what she came up with!
We even dressed appropriately for the occasion!  Yes, I made the cheesy little baseball in a martini glass favor.  Look, there aren't many options when it comes to baseball themed favors ok?!  My Cubs dress was made by RockNReconstruct.  Check her out on Etsy and Facebook!

AND NOW...THE WORLD SERIES!  At least in my wedding, the Cubs can be in a World Series.  Womp womp...the life of a Cubs fan.

Each table was represented by a different Cubs or Red Sox player.

You can't have a baseball themed wedding without Crackerjacks!
Crackerjack boxes from Nationwide Candy
Custom label by Sealed with a J.  She even designed the cartooned version of Bubs and I!

And finally...our cake topper.  No, it isn't baseball themed, but it totally reflects our personality.  We're both huge Simpsons fans and we try not to take ourselves too seriously. =)

Hopefully you enjoyed this post...whether you just because you love me...or if you need some ideas.  Thank you for stopping by!

  1. Etsy is the greatest thing ever! Especially for those who are creativity deprived...like me! Already scouring it for Jonathan's 2nd birthday.

  4. Glad to see this crazy baseball theme for the wedding. I am planning a New year party this year at one of the impressive Seattle venues. Want to have great party with friends and relatives. Will surely look for famous caterers, DJ and experienced photographer services.
